Another Bill Increase 😩 | The Reality of Being a Single Parent in the UK !

The cost of living in the UK just keeps going up… and this time, it’s my children’s after-school club. 😩💷 Their after-school club fee has increased from £13.50 to £15 per child. It might not sound like a huge increase at first, but when you have more than one child and you’re paying regularly, those extra pounds quickly add up. As a single parent working full-time, after-school childcare isn’t really optional for me. I have to work, which means I need somewhere safe for my children to be until I finish work. So when the price goes up, what do you do? You adjust the budget and somehow find the money. And it’s not just childcare. Food, energy, transport, household bills and everyday expenses all seem to be getting more expensive. In this video, I’m sharing my experience of dealing with another increase in our household expenses and asking a question I know many families are thinking: How are parents actually coping with the rising cost of living in the UK?
