I wrote this song after realizing that forgetting someone and getting them out of your head are two completely different things. For weeks, the same memories kept finding me in the quietest moments. After a while, it felt less like remembering someone and more like being stuck in a room I couldn't leave. One night, I stopped trying to make it disappear and turned on an old recorder instead. The melody came first, circling the same few notes over and over — like a thought that refuses to resolve. By sunrise, I called it “Get Out of My Head.” I think some part of me hoped it never would.
