Blessed Fulton Sheen and the Holy Face

Blessed Fulton Sheen's devotion to the Holy Face is explored in this video from the Holy Face League talk#15. Blessed Fulton Sheen has Carmelite ties and became a 3rd order Carmelite himself. The Holy Face devotion began with Sr. Mary of St. Peter, a Carmelite who Our Lord utilized to establish the devotion. St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face (the "Little Flower") was a favorite saint of Sheen. She was also a Carmelite and extremely devoted to the Holy Face. Our Lord told Sr. Mary of St. Peter that the Holy Face devotion was the remedy for Communism. It was through the Holy Face devotion that Our Lord revealed that Communism was the punishment for humanity for not following the 1st Three Commandments. Blessed Fulton Sheen took strong stands against Communism including through his writings and also in assisting in the conversion of a leading Communist infiltrator in the USA (Bella Dodd). Blessed Fulton Sheen practiced adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. Day after day for over 60 years he spent an hour each day and he would gaze upon the Face of Christ hidden in the Eucharist. Blessed Fulton Sheen, pray for us!
