Joseph: The Pit, The Prison, & the Palace

Joseph was 17 when God gave him a dream. Then his brothers threw him into a pit, he was sold into slavery, and he ended up in prison for doing the right thing. Hosts Aaron Christopherson and Sean Turner walk through his life, from the pit to Potiphar’s house to the prison to the palace, and draw out what it teaches you about stewarding the vision God gives you. Your faith should make you better at your job, not just more vocal about your beliefs. This episode covers five principles from Joseph’s life. How you communicate the vision God gives you is as important as the vision itself. Your excellence will create opportunities for you. Walking away from anything that requires compromising your integrity is always worth it, even when it costs you in the short term. Look for problems you can solve for other people, even when you have your own. Prepare for the lean years during the good years. Build cash reserves, create margin, and invest in your people. Whatever season you are in, the pit, the prison, Potiphar’s house, or the palace, steward every place. Our desire for you is that your place of business would be holy ground.
