In November 2025, RJ Mitte, who played Walt Jr. on Breaking Bad, said something that sounded impossible: he had paid more in taxes than he ever made from the show. This documentary follows the money behind that sentence, from a boy with cerebral palsy who became his family's breadwinner at 13, to the union-minimum paychecks of one of the most celebrated shows on television, to the business manager he hired at 17 or 18 and the fake tax filings he says she sent him instead of paying the government. Using his own interviews, news reports and public records, we trace the tax bill that arrived years later with interest, the decade it took him to pay it off, the 14 other actors he says were targeted the same way, and the Breaking Bad storyline that told almost the same story years earlier. Then we follow him to Brownsville, Texas, where his grandfather's foundation and his own work built a new cultural district, shortly before his death in October 2026 at 34. All claims about his former business manager are his own account; she was never named, and no court has ruled on them. If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available.
