MONO BLACK DISCARD | Destroy Their Hand, Control Their Game! | MTG Arena What happens when your opponent has no cards left to play? Welcome back to Wizard's Workshop! In this episode, we're embracing the dark side of Magic: The Gathering Arena with a brutally oppressive Mono Black Discard deck built around one deliciously cruel strategy: strip away every option your opponent has, punish them for discarding, and then crush whatever remains! This isn't just a discard deck. It's a carefully constructed machine of disruption, removal, resource denial and devastating late-game threats. 🧙 THE GAME PLAN 💀 EARLY GAME: DESTROY THEIR PLANS We open with some of the nastiest discard spells in Magic. Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek and Hymn to Tourach attack our opponent's hand before they can establish their strategy. Meanwhile, Fatal Push and Snuff Out ensure that whatever creatures do make it onto the battlefield don't stay there for long. 🖤 MID GAME: MAKE DISCARDING HURT This is where things get particularly unpleasant! Waste Not turns our opponent's discarded cards into resources for us, generating mana, Zombies and card draw. Liliana of the Veil keeps the pressure on, forcing sacrifices and discards, while Bandit's Talent adds even more punishment. Go Blank empties their hand while exiling their graveyard, denying them the opportunity to recover through recursion. ⚔️ LATE GAME: TOTAL DOMINATION By now, our opponent should be running on fumes. Sheoldred, the Apocalypse turns card draw into a nightmare, draining our opponent while keeping our life total healthy. Graveyard Trespasser applies pressure and disrupts graveyard strategies, while Deadly Cover-Up provides a devastating reset when the battlefield gets out of hand. And with Hive of the Eye Tyrant lurking among our lands, even an apparently empty battlefield can become a lethal threat. The objective?
