The Oldest Castle and Palace in Istanbul 🇹🇷 [Rumeli Fortress & Topkapi Palace | Family Travel Vlog]

We ventured into a couple of the most fascinating places in Istanbul, both commissioned by Mehmed the Conqueror. Walking around these places was like going back in time, to an era when the Ottoman Empire reigned supreme.Topkapi Palace is still stunning, even though it is over 500 years old. You can just imagine royalty strolling through the ornate rooms, or the beautiful courtyard. Rumeli Fortress was built during the siege of Constantinople. Such a hectic time in history, but the Ottomans managed to construct an incredibly strong fortress in under 4 months. So crazy.
