In this special episode wrapping up our documentary series "Where Music is Born," we visit the home of my dear neighbor and "soulmate," Peter, in the beautiful village of Riehen, Switzerland. Peter’s secret garden, overlooking the Jura Mountains, is filled with herbs and grapes, reflecting a sustainable lifestyle in deep harmony with nature. We share heartfelt stories about our 60-year friendship with a mutual friend, Bachman, and memories from his memorial service. Peter, who grew up in Allschwil, also shares his insights on the changing charm of Basel as a border city. We delve into his 30-year morning yoga routine, which began in an ashram in Bali, and reminisce about the serendipitous encounters and true wealth discovered while traveling before the era of smartphones. "The answer to a rich life is living peacefully with your neighbors and continuing to make new friends."
