🔥5th alarm fire: Major fire sweeps through building in Saint-Henri in Southwest, Montreal

On the evening of Saturday, October 22, 2022 at approximately 11:20 pm Eastern, a call came in for a building fire in the Saint-Henri neighborhood of Southwest, Montreal. The address was approximately 4365 Saint-Jacques Street West on the corner of Sainte-Marguerite Street. The fire was quickly upgraded to a 5th alarm (10-15) as flames quickly spread through the entire large block. At one point, a large section of roof collapsed to the ground, which was seen at the beginning of the video. Thick smoke spread throughout the neighborhood and even beyond Downtown Montreal, so much that a smog alert had to be issued. As of 7:05 am on Sunday, October 23, 2022, the fire was still burning. The video opens with the collapse of part of the roof. The next section of video after is from earlier and eventually the video gets to the collapse again and then progresses normally as it happened. This video was filmed on Sunday, October 22, 2023 starting at approximately 1:30 am Eastern.
