Episode 3 of our Vancouver to Calgary Road Trip takes us from Hope to Kamloops, British Columbia, travelling through one of the most recognizable highway corridors in the province, the Coquihalla Highway. We leave Hope after charging our EV and begin the climb into the mountains. Before long, the scenery changes dramatically, with forested slopes, higher elevations, and increasingly snowy surroundings along Highway 5. As we continue into British Columbia's Interior, the landscape begins changing again. The dense mountain scenery gives way to more open terrain, drier hills, and a completely different feel. Along the way, we make a short detour into Merritt for another EV charging stop before continuing north toward Kamloops. The final portion of the episode takes us into Kamloops, where we spend some time driving around and seeing the city from the road before stopping again to charge and take a quick break. This is one of my favourite things about long road trips across Canada.
