TYPICAL TRIP.... THEN MY DRONE WENT FOR A DIP

What started as a normal day exploring the backroads of British Columbia turned into a trip I’ll never forget. We headed up West Harrison toward Sunrise Lake, covering 35 km of forest service road before tackling the main trail. As we climbed higher, the forest started looking like something straight out of an apocalypse. Caterpillar webs covered the trees, fallen timber was everywhere, and the further we went, the stranger the landscape became. Eventually, we made it to Sunrise Lake. Beautiful sunshine, not a breath of wind, and complete silence. It was the perfect spot to stop and get some drone footage. Then, out of nowhere… SPLASH! My drone went straight into the lake. Just like that, a perfect day in the mountains took a turn for the worse. I was pretty bummed, so I packed it in and called it a day. Another adventure in the books, just a little more expensive than planned!
