Discover one of Newfoundland’s hidden gems — the breathtaking Codroy Valley. Tucked along the southwest coast, at the base of the Long Range Mountains, this peaceful valley is known for its rich farmland, coastal beauty, and incredible wildlife.
After nearly five weeks of exploring the island, we spend four relaxing days here in the Codroy Valley before making our way to the ferry. Feeling the effects of travel fatigue, this quiet corner of Newfoundland offers the perfect place recharge, reflect on the incredible adventures we’ve had, and begin looking ahead to what comes next.
In this episode, we explore the region’s highlights, starting with a visit to the iconic Cape Anguille Lighthouse, where sweeping ocean views and rugged coastline set the tone for the day. From there, we explore the Wetlands Trail, along the Grand Codroy Estuary a truly special landscape for birdwatchers and naturelovers.
To wrap up our time here, we take a peaceful walk along the beach at Codroy Valley Provincial Park, where long stretches of sand, rolling waves, and endless horizon views remind us just how wild and beautiful Newfoundland can be.
If you’re looking for a slower pace, stunning scenery, and authentic Newfoundland charm, the Codroy Valley is a place you won’t want to miss.
