Watch Colombo grow from a small trading port in 1340 to the city of the Lotus Tower and Port City in 2026, in one smooth 3D timelapse. 686 years of Sri Lanka's capital in 10 minutes.
See the Portuguese and Dutch forts, the British railway and harbour, independence, the first high-rises, Port City, the Lotus Tower, ITC Ratnadipa, and finally Colombo at night with all the city lights on.
This project took a long time to make. Every building, road and era was built in 3D using Blender software. We did our best to keep every date and place correct, but if you see any mistake, we are sorry. Please tell us in the comments and we will fix it in the next video.
Which year surprised you most? Tell us in the comments.
