Meet the Man Who Can Make Anything Fly | Documentary

Gerd has built more than 200 model airplanes, almost all of them scratch-built from his own designs, without kits, using simple, everyday materials. He learned the craft from his father, who flew model airplanes in the 1940s and 50s. And today, his two sons continue sharing the same passion. Built to Fly (Zum Fliegen gebaut) is a documentary portrait about one mans passion for model aviation, about craftsmanship and imagination, and about the joy of building something with your own hands that actually takes off.
