Z7iii? Z70? Z90? What the hell is going on????

Nikon’s quiet 2026 is about to get loud. Here’s what’s actually coming (and what’s just clickbait) as of October 11, 2026. 🔥 Nikon Z70 (rumored, November): A fast, high-end APS-C body, a “mini Z9” for DX. The name leaked when it briefly appeared on Apple’s ProRes authorized camera list in August. Rumors point to a 45MP stacked sensor, but there’s no confirmed spec, price, or date. It was expected in September and has already slipped once, so it could slip again. 🚫 Nikon Z7III: Nikon Rumors says it’s not coming this year, and the “leaked specs” floating around are made up??? 🦒 Nikkor Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S: Nikon announced development in May. It has a built-in 1.4x teleconverter, so it works as 120-300mm f/2.8 or 168-420mm f/4. It’s expected around the end of October, with very limited production and long waits. The latest price rumor puts it above the $14K Z 400mm f/2.8, so start saving. 🎬 Cinema glass: Nikon is developing nine NIKKOR Z CINEMA T1.9 VV lenses, starting with a 50mm. They’re the first Nikkors with an image circle big enough for RED’s V-RAPTOR [X] VV sensor. Also coming: ZR firmware 2.00, with RED color support and open gate recording in 2027. Everything about the Z70 and the 120-300’s release timing is still rumor, so treat dates as unconfirmed until Nikon makes it official. Which one are you most excited for?
