Shimpaku Juniper Penjing: From Nursery Stock to First Design

Welcome! In this video, we have our friend Kevin who brought over his shimpaku juniper for Mr. Che to check out. Kevin have this tree for about 10 months, picking it up from a bonsai nursery. Mr. Che help Kevin with the first design of this tree, helping to set the structure. We'll have to check back in with Kevin in late Spring or Summer to see how its doing and bring it back for more work. In this video, we talked a little about how to pick our trees from the nursery. Mr. Che shares his thoughts on how he approaches selecting trees. We also had a discussion about graphing and jins. This tree is a good candidate for graphing. Mr. Che shares his thoughts on graphing. Kevin still has time to decide to graph or not in the next few months. For this project, we will check in with Kevin and bring this tree back when it's ready for round 2. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy our channel. Please like and subscribe.
