WEDNESDAY'S LESSON 📖✨ LITERARY SOURCES HOW DID BIBLE WRITERS USE OTHER SOURCES? 📝📜 How did the inspired writers of the Bible collect, study, and organize information while communicating God's truth? 🤔📖 In today's Sabbath School lesson, “Literary Sources,” we explore how God worked through human writers who sometimes consulted historical records, written documents, oral traditions, and other literary sources under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 🕊️✨ 📚 What can we learn from the Bible? 🔹 Solomon's Wisdom: Ecclesiastes 12:9–10 reveals that Solomon carefully searched for wisdom, examined many proverbs, and selected appropriate words to communicate truth. 🔹 Historical Records: 1 Kings 11:41 reminds us that historical accounts and royal records were used to preserve the history of God's people. 🔹 Luke's Careful Research: In Luke 1:1–4, Luke explains how he carefully investigated available accounts and eyewitness testimonies to present an accurate and orderly account of Jesus' life. 🔹 Jude's Reference: Jude 14–15 demonstrates that biblical writers could refer to material from other Jewish literary sources. 🔹 Ezra and Nehemiah: Their writings also contain historical documents, royal decrees, letters, and genealogical records. 💡 IMPORTANT SPIRITUAL LESSON: The use of historical documents and other literary sources does not diminish the inspiration of Scripture.
