DAMIEN FILTH– Shadows on the Altar | TITANBORN (Track 05) | Epic Power Metal

WHEN THE GODS BUILD THEIR KINGDOM ON THE GRAVES OF MORTALS, EVEN HEAVEN MUST ANSWER. Welcome to Shadows on the Altar, the fifth chapter of TITANBORN — an epic heavy metal concept album forged in ancient marble, divine corruption, shattered faith, and the downfall of immortal rulers. Beneath the golden temples and sacred flames lies a terrible truth. The gods are not untouchable. Their altars conceal blood debts, their prophecies conceal lies, and their eternal thrones stand upon the suffering of those who worship them. Driven by massive guitar riffs, powerful vocals, thunderous drums, majestic choirs, and soaring guitar solos, Shadows on the Altar descends into the darkest heart of a dying pantheon. This is not a prayer. This is an accusation. When faith becomes a weapon and heaven becomes a tyrant, even the oldest marble begins to crack. ⚔️ THE TITANBORN SAGA CONTINUES The Marble Gates have opened. The Titans have fallen. Eternity has been forged on the anvil. The Pantheon has unleashed its wrath. Now the truth emerges from the shadows. The gods have ruled through fear for ages. But beneath their sacred altars, rebellion is gathering strength. The first cracks are spreading through the marble, and the immortals are about to discover that no throne lasts forever. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎤 SHADOWS ON THE ALTAR LYRICS Beneath the marble, beneath the gold, A thousand secrets rot untold. The gods are watching from their thrones, But even heaven fears its own. Blackened candles, blood-red stone, A kingdom built on flesh and bone. The priests bow low, the blades descend, Another prayer, another end. The sacred fire begins to fade, A nameless debt the gods have made. Behind the veil, beyond the flame, The altar whispers every name. Hear the voices underground, Feel the chains beneath the ground. What was buried shall arise, What was worshipped learns to die! Shadows on the altar! Black wings across the sun! The gods have built their kingdom On the graves of everyone! Shadows on the altar! The sacred turns to stone! When heaven feeds on mortal blood, The throne shall stand alone! A thousand swords, a thousand lies, A crown of fire, a mask of ice. They called it fate, they called it law, They hid their hunger behind awe. The oracle has lost her sight, The temple drowns in endless night. And every statue, cold and blind, Holds the face of humankind. Hear the voices underground, Feel the walls begin to sound. No immortal rules the grave, No eternal throne can save! Shadows on the altar! Black wings across the sun! The gods have built their kingdom On the graves of everyone! Shadows on the altar! The sacred turns to stone! When heaven feeds on mortal blood, The throne shall stand alone! You called us children. You called yourselves divine. But every god who drinks from fear Must answer at the end of time. No more kneeling! No more chains! No more blessings forged in pain! Break the idol! Crack the sky! Let the false immortals die! From the ashes... From the deep... There are oaths the dead still keep! From the darkness... From the flame... Let the gods remember our names! SHADOWS ON THE ALTAR! BLACK WINGS ACROSS THE SUN! THE GODS HAVE BUILT THEIR KINGDOM ON THE GRAVES OF EVERYONE! SHADOWS ON THE ALTAR! LET THE MARBLE SPLIT IN TWO! WHEN THE LAST PRAYER TURNS TO ASHES, THEY WILL ANSWER... TO THE FEW! Beneath the marble... Beneath the flame... The altar remembers... Every name. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎸 OFFICIAL TRACK CREDITS Song Title: Shadows on the Altar Artist: Damien Filth Album: TITANBORN Track Number: 05 Genre: Epic Heavy Metal / European Power Metal / Symphonic Metal Opera Theme: Ancient Gods, Divine Corruption, Rebellion and Dark Mythology Lyrics: Damien Filth Music and Production: Damien Filth © 2026 Damien Filth.
