Kanenas - Act I - Memory

►Band : Kanenas ►Album : Monuments for the bled ones ►Country : Greece ►Release date: September 26, 2026 lyrics: A man looks high at what the veil of sky shrouds , in a world where poison dust has replaced the clouds and scorch aflame where sunrise rode. A man stares at flames only he can see, He can never remember how the stone covering his feet came to be. And how it grew up to his neck. He remembers only the wars fought and lost, all his life now wasted on what ifs and what would cost To return to when his mind was free He remembers how light his body stood Before the stone covered his chest, before he sold his will out for what he could And swings his arms and screams at the abyss. And pounding on his chest he cries Rock pound rock , his darkest hour unable to breathe decides , To bleed his arms and carve his self anew. And from within a thousand whispers heard "Leave "they say" to death , what within at birth was dead And through your rage and will a god be born." And skies burn bright above where at his lowest crawling a man leaves out a sigh Hands weak and bleeding through will alone manage to raise the hammer high That would break all chains and carve a god For men to be free..
