Making Mountains | Pastor Nathan Felizzola | Encounter Church

Sermon Series: Feeding the Flesh Message: Making Mountains Church: Encounter Church - Palm Beach Gardens, Florida Sometimes the mountain in front of us becomes bigger than it really is—not because the mountain has grown, but because we’ve magnified it in our eyes and minds. In Numbers 13, Moses sends spies into the Promised Land. They see fortified cities, powerful people, and obstacles that seem impossible to overcome. Most of the spies return focused on what they saw, magnifying the problem instead of the promise. The result? Fear. Intimidation. Doubt. They began to see themselves as smaller than the mountain—and, ultimately, God’s promise as smaller than the problem. But what we magnify matters. When we magnify our problems, they become all we can see. When we magnify our circumstances, fear begins to grow. But when we magnify God, His truth, and His promises, our perspective changes. The mountain may be real—but our God is greater. In this message, we’ll learn how to stop feeding our flesh by magnifying what stands against us and start magnifying the One who stands above it all.
