AI Coding in the Real World: Productivity, Friction and Privacy | Andres Gesteira

AI is no longer just an experimental addition to software development. It is becoming a core part of the developer workflow. In this AI Poland presentation, Andres Gesteira explores how tools like Cursor are changing the way developers write, understand and maintain code. Do AI coding tools genuinely improve productivity? What happens when supervised agents become part of everyday development? And what should teams know about privacy, limitations and the new points of friction these tools can introduce? In this session, you will learn: • How AI-assisted development is changing the coding workflow • Why tools like Cursor are becoming increasingly popular • How supervised coding agents work in practice • How Cursor compares with other AI coding tools • What terminal-based AI tools can offer developers • Where AI produces real productivity gains • Which limitations and points of friction developers should expect • What privacy implications teams need to consider • Where the current AI coding trends may be heading Andres Gesteira is a Senior Frontend Architect at Fever, based in Madrid. After spending seven years in Berlin building a wide range of Angular projects, from enterprise applications to experimental frontends, he now focuses on creating scalable and elegant solutions with modern web technologies. This presentation offers a practical and grounded perspective on how AI coding tools are being used in real development workflows. This presentation was recorded at AI Poland.
