This is an innovative new design of LNG carrier equipped with 4 x Wind-Assisted Ship Propulsion Systems developed by MOL (“Wind Challenger”). Developed by a leading shipping company, this vessel design reflects deep industry expertise—ensuring safety, advanced technology, and operational flexibility—based on its extensive experience with the world’s largest LNG carrier fleet, while also significantly contributing to the reduction of fuel consumption and GHG emissions. This project represents a major milestone toward achieving the Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Group’s medium- to long-term goal of “net-zero emissions by 2050,” as outlined in our Environmental Vision 2.2.
