Is the Rajapaksa Family Facing Growing Pressure? A Sri Lankan court has ordered authorities to take steps to seek an INTERPOL Red Notice against former minister Basil Rajapaksa in connection with an investigation into the alleged misuse of public funds. According to reports published on October 14, 2026, the case concerns Rs. 7.8 million allocated to the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau in 2014.
