"This Elm Tree Went To Heaven....and Came Back With a Halo! 😇"

I managed to get hold of a fine piece of a distinctive elm from the local park to craft something from. It is wonderful to have the chance to create something tangible from a tree that stood right at the heart of the community. Another bowl is in the works, but I first needed to see how the elm behaved and how dry it was. The idea behind creating a 'halo'—or simply put, a round ring—stems from the fact that the wood was actually destined for the chipper due to disease. It is truly special that these pieces of wood were saved thanks to the efforts of amazing people who have a heart for wood. My sincere thanks to them .
