Chiefs vs Niners Part 3? The Super Bowl Rematch Is Coming

Guru has been on Kyle Shanahan for years about losing two Super Bowls after leading by 10. Now, with the 49ers 5-0 and the NFC wide open, he's ready to say it: this team is for real, and a Chiefs vs. 49ers Super Bowl Part 3 could be on the way. In this episode of Chronicles from the Cadillac, Guru explains why he's backing Shanahan and John Lynch. He calls what they've built since 2019 more than special: "it was mean." He also says he got Brock Purdy wrong. He went from calling Purdy "pedestrian" to calling him a monster, and he points to the precision, the accuracy and the reads. He also takes on the rest of the NFC. Seattle and the Rams both have three losses, and Dallas and Detroit have questions on defense. Guru argues the road to the Super Bowl in LA could go right through Levi's. Then he looks at Shanahan's riskiest moves, bringing back Deebo Samuel and Dre Greenlaw, and at why Purdy's new contract makes this window matter even more. Topics discussed include: Kyle Shanahan's two Super Bowl losses, and why Guru is giving him credit now Brock Purdy going from "pedestrian" to monster The 49ers' 5-0 start and the Monday night matchup with the Commanders Why the NFC looks weak and could go through Levi's Bringing back Deebo Samuel and Dre Greenlaw: "reuniting with your ex" Guru's Super Bowl pick: Chiefs vs. 49ers, Part 3 Is this finally the year Shanahan gets his ring, or are we setting up more heartbreak against the Chiefs?
