After travelling thousands of kilometres across the United States, exploring remote American villages, national parks, deserts, and some of the most fascinating places in the country, my USA road trip finally came to an end in San Francisco, California. But before leaving America, I had one last unexpected experience. I spent an entire night at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), sleeping on chairs in the airport food court while waiting for my flight to Singapore. No hotel room, no comfortable bed, just my luggage, a few chairs, and a long night inside one of America’s busiest international airports. After spending days travelling across the United States, sleeping in a camper van, exploring small towns, and covering thousands of kilometres on the road, I never imagined that my final night in America would be spent sleeping inside an airport. The next part of my journey was equally interesting. I was flying from San Francisco to Singapore with Singapore Airlines, on one of the longest nonstop flight routes in the world. The distance between San Francisco and Singapore is approximately 13,500 kilometres, crossing the Pacific Ocean and multiple time zones. Depending on the flight schedule and direction, this journey can take around 16 to 17.5 hours, making it one of the longest commercial flights operating today. Singapore Airlines is internationally known for its long-haul operations, connecting major cities across continents with flights that can keep passengers in the air for more than 15 hours without a single stop. In this video, I share my experience of spending the night at San Francisco Airport, the reality of sleeping in an airport while travelling on a budget, and my journey from the United States to Singapore. This video also marks the end of an incredible American adventure. From driving through remote highways and visiting tiny towns to experiencing the natural beauty of Yellowstone and exploring the history of American communities, this trip gave me a completely different perspective on the United States. Travelling is not always about beautiful destinations, luxury hotels, or comfortable journeys. Sometimes it is about uncomfortable nights, long flights, unexpected situations, and the experiences that come with them. And that’s exactly what this final episode of my USA journey is about. Thank you for following my American road trip. See you on the next adventure!
