SAFE NET Flashmob

The group took the project out of the working room and into the middle of the city, in front of people who had no idea it was coming. Passers by stopped, watched, and filmed. The flashmob was part of the awareness campaign built by the participants during the exchange. The message behind it is the reason the whole group was standing there: what happens online is not separate from real life, and staying safe in digital spaces is something a community learns together, not something each person figures out alone. A public square is where people actually meet, and that is where the participants chose to make their point. SAFE NET is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange hosted in Horezu, Romania, bringing together young people, including those with fewer opportunities, to work on online safety, digital wellbeing, critical thinking, and responsible behaviour in digital spaces.
