18 Holes at Monmouth Golf Club. Every shot from my round at a lovely course in the Lower Wye Valley

Every shot from my round at the Monmouth Golf Club in Monmouth, Monmouthshire, on 10th May 2024. It was a warm and sticky day, and even with having played 36 holes the day before I was keen to add another course to the played and filmed list. Not far to go today to visit the delightful course at Monmouth, although I'd heard it was quite a physical challenge to play. The course itself is certainly a challenge with most holes incorporating the local topography in one form or another. Uphill & downhill holes, sidehill stances are all common and shot and club selection is a real challenge here if you want to score well. Many of the holes are up then down, with a few that do both! Pushing an unpowered trolley round was quite a task, with a motorised one or buggy certainly a good option if you're able to. I didn't play particularly well today but still managed a very respectable score that I was more than happy with. The course played longer than the scorecard today having been affected by yet more recent heavy rain that took any bounce from the fairways. The greens were good and consistent, maybe a little slow but again that is down to the poor wet weather we've suffered so much of. It was nice and quiet on the course when I played (late Friday morning) and the green fees were reasonable. It was certainly an enjoyable round with lovely views of the surrounding area - nice to take in while reloading on Oxygen from one of the numerous climbs around the course!! 00:00:00 - Intro & Hole 1 00:01:08 - Hole 2 00:01:59 - Hole 3 00:02:59 - Hole 4 00:04:09 - Hole 5 00:05:41 - Hole 6 00:06:36 - Hole 7 00:07:46 - Hole 8 00:08:52 - Hole 9 00:10:02 - Hole 10 00:10:51 - Hole 11 00:12:07 - Hole 12 00:13:14 - Hole 13 00:13:53 - Hole 14 00:14:55 - Hole 15 00:16:06 - Hole 16 00:16:45 - Hole 17 00:18:16 - Hole 18 00:19:21 - Summary & Statistics #golf #golfswing #golfgraphics #golfstats #golfing #irons #callaway #callawaygolf #wintergolf #ordinarygolf #breaking80 #break90 #11handicap #struggle #shottracer #golfcourse #golfer #golfvideo #golflife #allshots #everyshot #wales #18holes Music credit "Inspired" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b...
