https://averagefamilyabroad.com/ Maybe it’s inevitable that anytime you make a really big decision, it’s accompanied by pesky doubts. And this is especially true when said decision affects not just yourself, but others. Even years after the fact, long after you’ve adapted to whatever changes the decision brought about, those doubts can continue to show themselves. After we chose to move to Ecuador with our four kids, we found that the deeper we settled into our new life, and the more we fell in love with this extraordinary country, we experienced fewer doubts, less frequently. But even five years in, on the really hard days—facing challenging things here or missing family back in the States—we still confront questions and confusion regarding whether we did the right thing. Even though we KNOW we did. Even though our kids are thriving and our life is rich in community and purpose. Even though we fit in here so well, and we’re 100% certain that this is our place. Doubts are normal. They don’t need to be ignored, denied, or hidden away. They can be analyzed, confronted, maybe laughed at, maybe soberly assessed. And the best ways to keep them in their proper place? Check out this video to find out!
