Is your Snapper rear engine riding mower cutting uneven even though it starts, runs, drives, and the blades still engage?
In this video we diagnose and repair a Snapper rear engine rider model 2691525-00 that was leaving an uneven cut across the yard.
The customer said the mower seemed to operate normally, but the deck was clearly not cutting level.
We walk through the full inspection process step by step and show the exact things you should check before you start replacing parts.
In this repair video we cover:
Checking tire pressure first because low or uneven tire pressure can make a mower cut uneven
How to visually inspect the deck to see if it is sitting lower on one side
How to check for a bent blade that could cause an uneven cut
How to narrow the issue down before making adjustments
How we found the real problem instead of stopping at a simple deck leveling
Replacing the broken right side deck lift bracket
How to remove the damaged bracket and install the new one
How to properly level the mower deck side to side and front to back
At first this looked like it might only need a quick deck adjustment, but during inspection we found the right side deck lift bracket was broken, which kept the deck from sitting correctly.
That is why it is important to fully inspect the mower before assuming the fix is only a leveling issue.
If you have a Snapper rear engine rider or another riding mower that is cutting uneven, scalping, or leaving one side higher than the other, this video will help you understand what to check and how to fix it correctly.
This video may also help if your mower has symptoms like:
Uneven cut side to side
Deck sits lower on one side
Mower deck will not level correctly
Bent blade concerns
Broken deck hanger or lift bracket
Front to back deck pitch out of adjustment
This same process applies to all the following models 281022BE, E281222BE, 281023BVE, 2812523BVE, 2811523BV, 3012523BVE, E331523KVE, E3317523BVE, E3317525BVE, 84700, 84710, 84871, 7800104, 7800647, 85623, 7085623, 7800105, 7800650, 7800119, 7800502, 7800656, 7800660, 7084888, 7800718 &2691383-00
