Madden 27 Seahawks Franchise | Week Five — Still Searching for a Win Pt. 2

The Seahawks return home to face the San Francisco 49ers, looking to finally put an end to the worst start of the franchise so far. Instead, Seattle falls 24-17 and drops to 0-5 on the season. The final score makes the game appear much closer than it actually was, as the Seahawks offense and defense both continue to struggle. Five games into the Arch Manning era, Seattle still cannot find the formula needed to put together a complete football game. There is at least one positive development: the rushing attack finally comes alive. Seattle runs the ball 24 times for 179 yards and two touchdowns, giving the offense a legitimate source of production on the ground. Unfortunately, the improvement in the running game is not enough to overcome the larger problems. The offense remains tremendously inconsistent, while the defense once again struggles to prevent the opposing offense from controlling the game. Seattle is now 0-5 and continues searching for its first victory of the 2027 season. After finishing 7-10 in the previous year, the Seahawks are currently on pace to finish even worse, despite entering the season as the once defending Super Bowl champions. The rebuild is proving to be a genuine long-term project, and every week provides another lesson about what needs to change. For now, there is only one objective: find the first win. 0-5. The once defending champions are still searching for their first victory.
