Blue Hour🎵
Verse 1
Tamsui lowers the dusk,
the mountain ridge sinking into rose-gray clouds;
the treetops still hold traces of gold,
while streetlights come on, one by one.
I walk along the road,
letting distant hills, passing traffic, and wind
rearrange their places around one another.
Pre-Chorus
The sky is in no hurry to deepen,
and the city does not urge me to arrive;
only blue, slowly spreading,
gathering the noise into softer boundaries.
Chorus
Blue—
not only a color,
but also that moment when mountains and streets,
clouds and lights, happen to hold one another.
Cars pass through the intersection,
palms leave a single stroke of silhouette;
I stand within it all,
as perception flows through the entire field.
Verse 2
Windows glow as tiny squares,
rose-colored clouds drift along the mountain ridge;
the road unfolds ahead,
white arrows carrying the eye into the distance.
No one arranged the composition;
everything is simply present in its own place,
yet naturally grows into a complete whole.
Pre-Chorus
I do not chase that sky,
nor ask it to remain;
to see is already a way of drawing near,
and my breath becomes part of the scene.
Chorus
Blue—
not only a color,
but also that moment when mountains and streets,
clouds and lights, happen to hold one another.
Cars pass through the intersection,
palms leave a single stroke of silhouette;
I stand within it all,
as perception flows through the entire field.
Bridge
The mountain need not move closer to me,
nor must the lamps turn themselves toward me.
Distance remains distance,
yet relation can still form a whole;
what a photograph gathers
is that presence without pulling.
Outro
The blue deepens a little more.
The road still reaches forward.
And carrying faint light across my body,
I pass through a street in Tamsui—
leaving no answer behind,
only breath.
