Rusty & Tarnished Antique Salter Pocket Scale Restoration - 100+ years old?

Hi everyone . . Thanks for stopping by and watching this latest restoration video of some Vintage Salter Pocket Scales. The pocket balance was first created in 1770 by Richard Salter in the UK. I've tried researching, but there's so many different models. Unsure of the exact age of this, but its easily over 80 years old, maybe older This item had years of tarnish, with very thin brass so had to be delicate - 'for a change' restoring the shine and letters. Lots of sand sandblasting, filing, sanding, wire brushing on the other parts. Aquired an old oven and painted some parts using my new powder coating gadget. Which will be nice using less rattle cans. Tried hot bluing for the first time, any oil will do but I had some old chainsaw oil kicking about. I hope you enjoy the before and after. Thanks you all for watching, I appreciate the views, comments, feel free to press like and subscribe - it all helps us small restorers... More to come. . #CrustyRestorations #asmr #rusty #restoration #vintage #powdercoating
