Inside Hino truck production in Japan, from precision differential and engine manufacturing to chassis assembly, cab production, final assembly and vehicle inspection.
This factory film follows the manufacturing process behind Hino medium- and heavy-duty trucks, combining major unit-production operations with final truck assembly at Hino’s Koga Plant in Japan.
The process begins with differential casting, precision machining and assembly. Heavy frame and axle components are then prepared before the chassis moves through the production line.
Engine manufacturing includes precision machining, internal assembly and functional testing before the completed powertrain is installed into the truck chassis.
Cab production follows with steel panel pressing, robotic welding, painting and interior assembly. The finished cab is then mounted onto the chassis before wheels are installed and the completed truck enters final inspection.
Final quality checks include vehicle testing, headlamp inspection and a high-volume water test before completed Hino trucks leave the production area.
