Upton United Women vs Gildersome Spurs

Yes you read that right! Upton United Community Sports Club has it's first ever women's team! Formed in April from mother's of some of our junior teams' players, these women spent many a weekend morning at the sidelines and courageously stepped up and have spent the last few months learning the game and honing their skills. This game was a pre-season warm up friendly against another team in the same situation as us and it was a fantastic display of character and football from both sides. Another exciting chapter in Upton United's history and we're all looking forward to seeing how they get on.
