White Tower’s Pride | An Elder Scrolls Song About the Fall of the Ayleids

“We are the wall! We are the crown! The stone that no hand tears down!” White-Gold Tower stands as a monument to Ayleid glory. Its armies are disciplined, its walls are mighty, and its officers believe their civilization will endure forever. What could one silver knight possibly do to an empire? “White Tower’s Pride” tells the story of an Ayleid officer who watches that certainty crumble. What begins as a glorious imperial marching hymn slowly descends into a nightmare as reports arrive of a warrior who cannot be stopped. The rebels are dismissed as “the wild things.” The empire's strength is treated as an unquestionable truth. But when the battlefield falls silent and the soldiers who once sang beside him are gone, pride becomes terror. This song explores the fall of the Ayleids through the eyes of one soldier—not a civilization united in a single belief, but a man whose faith in his empire leaves him utterly unprepared for its destruction. In the history of Tamriel, Pelinal Whitestrake became a legend. But imagine being one of the soldiers who first saw him coming. Imagine hearing the stories, laughing at them, and then realizing they were not nearly frightening enough. The walls will fall. The banners will burn. And the pride of White-Gold will become another ghost haunting its ruins. 🎵 An original Elder Scrolls-inspired lore song from Elder Scrolls Lore Radio.
