Some of the oldest iron in America never made it onto the stove as a skillet. It sat in the back of the cupboard as pans with legs, cups, swirls and hinges, and the families who cooked with them have mostly stopped saying their names out loud. Walt lays out nine pieces of old cast iron, the kind of vintage kitchen tools that end up on the garage table at an estate sale, and gives you a few seconds to name each one before he does. Keep score. Some of these are easy.
