What is life? We spend years trying to answer this question. We build careers, relationships, families, identities, and dreams, believing that somewhere behind all of these things there must be a permanent answer to who we are and why we are here. But more than 2,500 years ago, Buddha approached the question from a completely different direction. He did not begin by asking where life came from, or who created it, or what happens after death. Instead, he asked something much more immediate: What is actually happening to us while we are alive? Why do we experience happiness and suffering? Why does everything we love eventually change? Why can we have everything we once wanted and still feel that something is missing? And most importantly, is there a way to live without being constantly controlled by fear, craving, attachment, and dissatisfaction? According to Buddha, understanding life begins with seeing reality exactly as it is, rather than as we wish it were.
