'One Month Of Earth 8k' is a film by Seán Doran made with images courtesy JAXA / JMA / NICT / seg-web.nict.go.jp and 'Music from Neptune Flux' by Chris Zabriskie Credit: Himawari / JAXA / JMA / NICT / Seán Doran 4,393 frames of Himawari-8 satellite data spanning 31 days in December 2021 are repaired, processed and graded. Missing frames from each daily image sequence are created. Intermediate image sequences are produced to consolidate repaired frames and to assist with frame interpolation method used to create Ultra High Definition video footage. Himawari-8 is a geostationary satellite operated by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). It is used to provide continuous, high-resolution observations of the Earth's weather and climate. It is responsible for providing weather forecasts and warnings for the country, as well as conducting research on weather and climate.
