The Gifted Kid Identity Crisis | Ep. 2

If you were "the smart one" growing up, and then someone else took that spot, or the title just stopped applying, this episode is for you. This is the gifted kid identity crisis: what happens when an identity like "the smart one" gets assigned to you before you're old enough to actually choose it, and what it does to you the moment it's gone. In this episode we will explore Eriksons identity stages, James MArcia's identity statuses and combine it all with a personal story; moving countries, going from average to "the smart one" overnight. This isn't about being behind. It's about doing, later than most, the identity work that got skipped the first time around. 📱 Follow along: @thewaiting.roomofficial ⬅️ Catch up: Episode 1 — Why Success Can Make You Feel Worse    • Why Success Can Make You Feel Worse | Ep. 1   Disclaimer: This podcast is for educational and informational purposes only.
