THE WILD CAMELS IN AUSTRALIA ARE SPREADING FAST — AND THEY'RE MORE DESTRUCTIVE THAN YOU THINK

Wild camels are spreading across Australia — and their impact is far bigger than most people realize. Across the Australian outback, huge herds of feral camels are moving through remote communities, water sources, roads, fences and fragile desert landscapes. From damaged infrastructure to competition for scarce water, Australia’s feral camel problem is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
