My Twister Girl

For sixteen years, I built walls... repaired every crack... and convinced myself I was comfortable living behind them. Then I reached out my hand to comfort someone else... and found some comfort of my own. “My Twister Girl” grew from a real connection formed during grief, a goodbye, and the unexpected discovery that I still wanted someone to share my heart with. This is a story about friendship... becoming family... and the desire to live and love again, even when that desire scares the hell out of you. Every image was chosen and shaped to tell that story. The hands, the stone tower, the crumbling bricks... and the sunlight on the floor. Those details mean something. I lived the moments behind them. And through the making of this, I saw the Holy Spirit at work... even in the moments I hadn't planned. To my Twister Girl... Thank you for tearing down my walls.
