Kamakura on a sunny day, in the middle of typhoon season.
Tokyo just had 34 days of rain in a row, a new record, with a typhoon passing through in the middle of it. Somewhere in all that, one morning in Shonan, the sky opened up, the sun came out, and I stepped out for some much-needed physical activity.
That day I took the bus into Kamakura, walked from the station toward Hasedera past the shrine lanterns and the Enoden crossings, and spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach. I opted out of lunch to crochet.
If you've been waiting out the weather wherever you are, this one's for you.
