Spending half of my morning by the beach at Tateishi Park felt like a gift, so I decided to crochet and relax before a productive afternoon. The sun was out, the dog walkers were happily guiding their pets, and I lost track of time. The slow day quickly picked up pace with a trip to the store and the library. Overall, it was a day well spent. TRY IT YOURSELF Getting there: Tateishi Park is in Akiya, Yokosuka. The Tateishi bus stop (Keikyu bus) is a 1-minute walk from the park. From JR Yokosuka Station or Yokosuka-Chuo Station, search "Tateishi" in Google Maps for the current bus route. Driving: Tateishi Park has free parking, but spaces are limited, so come early. Crochet: Yokina cotton-acrylic yarn Park and beach: free. Bring a mat and something warm, the wind picks up in the afternoon Library: free to enter Dear Black women, where do you go when you need a slow day? 🌊 0:00 Intro 0:11 Morning at Tateishi Park 10:38 Off to the store 12:09 The library #BlackInJapan #BlackWomenInJapan #TateishiPark #Yokosuka #JapanVlog #SlowLiving #CrochetByTheSea #Origami #BlackGirlsWhoCrochet #BlackExpat
