The world can feel loud, cruel, and unstable, and we start there with an honest moment of grief and prayer after heartbreaking loss in our community - Van Zandt County, Texas. We ask God to comfort families, steady our hearts, and remind us that even when the atmosphere feels heavy and election season feels divisive, the Lord is still in control. We also challenge ourselves to live what we pray, because faith is never meant to be passive.  After praying, Bro. Ernie continues the deep dive into The Book of ACTS.  What a powerful study for new testament believers! Then we open Scripture and work through Acts 15:1–11, where the early church faces a defining question: do Gentile believers need circumcision and the law of Moses to be saved? We trace circumcision back to God’s covenant with Abraham in Genesis 17, look at how the Old Testament treats the “stranger” who joins himself to the God of Israel, and talk about why unity matters when dissension starts fracturing the church. Along the way, we keep it simple and practical: stay in the Word, seek wise counsel, and refuse to let politics or tradition divide what Jesus died to make one.  Peter’s testimony becomes a powerful turning point. Instead of winning an argument with a theological lecture, he points to what God actually did in Cornelius’ house, giving the Holy Spirit by faith and showing no difference between Jew and Gentile. The result is a clear warning for every generation of believers: don’t put a yoke on people that God never required. If you care about discipleship, biblical truth, Acts chapter 15 explained, salvation by grace through faith, and how to keep a steady witness in a chaotic culture, this conversation is for you.
