ENGLISH This guest song comes from my sister channel Bronzesturm, dedicated to ancient history through Neue Deutsche Härte. It tells the story of Leonidas, the 300 Spartans, and the 700 Thespians who fought at Thermopylae in 480 BC against the much larger army of King Xerxes. Their stand became a lasting symbol of courage, discipline and sacrifice. ⸻ DE Strophe 1 Heiße Tore. Fels und Meer. Ein schmaler Pfad. Gegen ein Heer. Dampf aus der Erde. Salz in der Luft. Bronze im Morgen. Und Tod in der Kluft. Thermopylen. Eng wie ein Schnitt. Wer hier marschiert, kommt nicht leicht mit. Schilde nach vorne. Speere im Licht. Der Pass wird zur Mauer. Und Sparta weicht nicht. Refrain Drei Tage Feuer. Drei Tage Pflicht. Drei Tage Männer. Im Morgenlicht. Sparta schweigt. Doch der Name spricht. Leonidas fällt. Doch fällt er nicht. Strophe 2 Leonidas. König im Stand. Schild an der Schulter. Speer in der Hand. Dreihundert Männer. Aus Spartas Gesetz. Keiner fragt heimwärts. Keiner fragt jetzt. Mutter und Stadt. Im Rücken so fern. Vor ihnen der Großkönig. Unter goldenem Stern. Pflicht wird zu Atem. Tod wird zu Brot. Sparta befiehlt. Und der König geht tot. Refrain wie oben Strophe 3 Nicht Sparta allein. Bleibt dort im Stein. Thespiai steht. Im Tod nicht klein. Siebenhundert Namen. Im Schatten der Zahl. Nicht jeder wird Lied. Doch jeder war Wahl. Wo Ruhm sich verengt. Auf dreihundert Mann. Steht noch ein Volk. Das nicht fliehen kann. Thespier bleiben. Frei und bereit. Neben den Schilden. Bis tief in die Zeit. Refrain wie oben Strophe 4 Speere zerbrechen. Bronze wird heiß. Staub auf den Lippen. Blut auf dem Kreis. Der König fällt vorne. Der Kampf wird zum Ring. Jeder Schritt enger. Bis nichts mehr ging. Schwerter im Nahkampf. Steine und Hand. Persische Pfeile. Verdunkeln das Land. Der letzte Kreis schweigt. Doch der Fels merkt sich. Drei Tage am Tor. Und der Tod löscht sie nicht. Finaler Refrain Drei Tage Feuer. Drei Tage Pflicht. Drei Tage Männer. Im Morgenlicht. Sparta schweigt. Doch der Name spricht. Leonidas fällt. Doch fällt er nicht. Drei Tage Feuer. Drei Tage Pflicht. Drei Tage Männer. Im Morgenlicht. Thermopylen schweigt. Doch der Stein noch spricht. Leonidas fällt. Doch fällt er nicht. ⸻ ENGLISH Verse 1 Hot Gates. Rock and sea. A narrow path. Against an army. Steam from the earth. Salt in the air. Bronze at dawn. Death in the ravine. Thermopylae. Narrow as a blade. Who marches here does not pass easily. Shields forward. Spears in the light. The pass becomes a wall. And Sparta does not yield. Chorus Three days of fire. Three days of duty. Three days of warriors. In the morning light. Sparta is silent. But the name speaks. Leonidas falls. Yet he does not fall. Verse 2 Leonidas. A king standing firm. Shield on his shoulder. Spear in his hand. Three hundred men. Bound by Spartan law. None ask for home. None ask for tomorrow. Behind them their city. Before them the Great King. Duty becomes breath. Death becomes bread. Sparta commands. And the king walks into death. Chorus as above Verse 3 Not Sparta alone stood among the rocks. Thespiae remained. No less great in death. Seven hundred names. Hidden behind the number. Not every name became a song. But every one made the choice. Where glory remembers only three hundred, another people stood that refused to flee. The Thespians remained, free and steadfast, beside the Spartan shields throughout history. Chorus as above Verse 4 Spears break. Bronze grows hot. Dust on their lips. Blood on the stones. The king falls first. The battle closes in. Every step grows tighter. Until nothing remains. Swords in close combat. Stone and bare hands. Persian arrows darken the sky. The final circle falls silent. Yet the mountain remembers. Three days at the gate. And death cannot erase them. Final Chorus Three days of fire. Three days of duty. Three days of warriors. In the morning light. Sparta is silent. But the name speaks. Leonidas falls. Yet he does not fall. Three days of fire. Three days of duty. Three days of warriors. In the morning light. Thermopylae is silent. Yet the stone still speaks. Leonidas falls. Yet he does not fall. #Leonidas #Thermopylen #Thermopylae #Sparta #300Spartaner #Thespier #Xerxes #Antike #Bronzesturm #NeueDeutscheHärte #NDH #IndustrialMetal #Deutschrock #DeutscherMetal #StahlUndSturm
