OHRID, North Macedonia: The Balkan City That Captivated Us 🇲🇰 | Balkan Odyssey Ep. 7

After travelling through Albania, our family of four takes the once-daily bus from Tirana to Ohrid, North Macedonia — crossing the border and arriving in one of the most beautiful lakeside cities of our Balkan Odyssey. At around 700 metres above sea level, Ohrid offered us beautiful scenery and wonderfully mild weather. But what really surprised us was just how much there was to see and do. We explored Samuel’s Fortress with its spectacular views, visited the historic churches of Saints Clement and Panteleimen and St. Sophia, walked along the Ohrid boardwalk and lakeside, and wandered through the atmospheric Old Bazaar. We also discovered the Mosque of Ali Pasha, explored the local market, and enjoyed some delicious Macedonian food in the Old Town.
