Direct air connectivity between Iran and Pakistan continues despite increased pressure and new sanctions targeting Iran’s aviation sector. Currently, eight weekly flights operate between Tehran, Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Mashhad, with Iranian airlines including Mahan Air, Taban Air and Iran Airtour serving these routes. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has also stated that Mahan Air flights to Pakistan continue, while Islamabad is reviewing the implications of US sanctions on Iranian airlines. The continuation of direct flights reflects the ongoing air connectivity between Iran and Pakistan and supports people-to-people, commercial and economic links between the two neighboring countries. This report looks at the current Iran–Pakistan air connections and their significance for bilateral relations. Disclaimer: This video is presented for news and informational purposes.
