When God Makes You Wait, This Is What He’s Doing | Tim Keller

Why does God sometimes make us wait when He could change everything in an instant? In this powerful message based on Tim Keller’s teaching on James 5, we explore what biblical patience really means—and why waiting is not the same as passivity, weakness, or pretending that suffering does not hurt. James points us to the farmer, the prophets, and Job to show us how faith remains standing when life moves slower than we want, people disappoint us, suffering overwhelms us, and God’s timing becomes difficult to understand. You’ll discover why true patience means learning to trust God when you cannot see what He is doing, how prayer keeps suffering from turning us inward, why humility frees us from the burden of needing to know everything, and how trials can become instruments of spiritual growth. Most importantly, the message points us to Jesus Christ—the ultimate example of patient endurance. Christ remained faithful through rejection, suffering, and the cross, not merely to give us an example, but to save us. When you cannot understand God’s timing, the cross reminds you that you can still trust His heart. You may not know the way ahead. But He knows the way that you take. #TimKeller #ChristianSermon #TrustGod #Patience #FaithInGod
