The history of the House of Dior is a long one, the brand has been around for almost 75 years, and one of the designers that has left an extremely important mark on the house was Marc Bohan. Marc Bohan designed under the house of Dior for 29 years and dressed some of the brands' most famous clients from Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, & Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco. Marc Bohan also gave us the Oblique Dior Monogram, which was popularized by designers like John Galliano and Maria Grazia after his time. Marc wasn't a revolutionary designer, but that is a reason he worked at the house for so long, as he was a commercial success that grew the house to over a 500 million dollar company before the start of the 90's. Bohan was making Dior a lot of money before the idea of globalization hit the fashion industry. The fact that Christian Dior clients were absolutely outraged when Marc left the company means he was truly loved, and well he's a designer we MUST discuss!
